Brogue Oxford

The distinguishing mark  of a Brogue is the Perforation with different hole dimensions. The  Brogue gets popular in the early 19ths and trace back to the scottish footwear. Originally the Brogue was weared for hard fieldwork, where they often get wet. Therefore  the „brogueings ( holes)“  had the intention to let the shoe  drying faster. Later on the Brogue  established  in the  more aristocrat society. The „brogueings ( holes)“  become only decorative, added with jagged edgings.  A new mix of Oxford and Derby was created.
